This week’s newsletter is a bit different.

You’re probably expecting a new idea, tip, or story from the frontline of music, marketing, or the general chaos of building a life you don’t need a holiday from.

But today’s newsletter is just this:

A few nights ago, my partner Sally was rushed to hospital.

After a lot of tests, it seems she suffered a minor stroke.

She's in hospital now, stable but still under observation.

We don’t know what recovery will look like yet.

Right now, I’m holding down the home front, looking after our one-year-old daughter Michaela full-time while we wait for answers.

Needless to say, this isn’t business as usual.

If you’re a client, collaborator, reader or just a kind stranger on the internet—I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as I temporarily slow things down. I’ll still be around, just not always at full capacity.

Sometimes, the most radical thing we can do is stop. Breathe. Let go of the to-do list. And simply show up for the people we love.

More soon.

With gratitude,
Spence
